The Old Man’s Pantry Update | 06/21/2022

I don’t usually do updates mid-week, but noticed 2 important items on my watch list that had increases.

Great Value vegetable oil gallons went up this morning from $7.12 to $7.34 — a 3% increase. Based on news I’ve seen, I’ve been expecting to see vegetable oil to start climbing in price. Perhaps this is the start of it.

Baking powder is another important basic item which has increased. So far this year, it has gone from $1.12 for 8oz to $1.42. That’s a 27% increase and we’re only halfway through the year.
